Setup Options
This is the Setup Options page. In order to access this page you must have administrator or superuser access.
The Setup options page allows you to configure specific functions and features of Auto Manager. Only experienced users should make any modifications in this section.
Company Name - This is the name of the company that the program is licensed to.
Domain Name - This is the domain name that the program is licensed for use on.
Product ID - This is the product ID number used to identify this specific program and license.
Publish Index of Listing Pages - If this option is set to "Yes" an index page of all the listings will be created in the listing directory and updated everytime a listing is created or modified. It is not recommended that you use this feature if you have over 100 records in the database.
Publish Index of Homepages - If this option is set to "Yes" an index page of all the homepages will be created in the homepage directory and updated everytime a homepage is created or modified. It is not recommended that you use this feature if you have over 100 records in the database.
Show preview image on listing page - The listing preview image is always shown on the listing index and search results page. If you would like the "preview" image to be displayed on listing page as well set this value to "Yes".
Show preview image on homepage - The homepage preview image is always shown on the homepage index and search results page. If you would like the "preview" image to be displayed on homepage as well set this value to "Yes".
Maximum size of uploaded images - You can prevent your users from uploading excessively large images by setting a maximum size for uploaded images. Any images that are over the maximum size won't be saved and the user will receive an error message explaining why.
Login Inactivity Timeout - This setting controls how long a user can be inactive for before they are automatically logged off. After "Timing Out" a user must
re-enter their username and password to get back into the program.
Listing Editor Results Per Page - This field determines how many results are displayed per page in the listing editor.
Homepage Editor Results Per Page - This field determines how many results are displayed per page in the homepage editor.
User Manager Results Per Page - This field determines how many results are displayed per page in the user manager.
Setup Listing Fields - Click this button to define which types of fields and information is stored in the listing database.
Setup Homepage Fields - Click this button to define which types of fields and information is stored in the homepage database.
Re-publish All Listings - Click this button to re-publish all listings.
Publish Listings Index - Click this button to publish or update the listing index page.
Re-publish All Homepages - Click this button to re-publish all homepages.
Publish Homepage Index - Click this button to publish or update the homepage index page.
Enable Database Sorting - If you would like the listings in the search engine and Listing Editor to be sorted set this field to "Yes". Note: Sorting can significantly slow down the program on slow servers or when over 100 records exist.
Titlebar Text - This is the text that is displayed on the program titlebar.
Footerbar Text - This is the text that is displayed on the program footerbar.
Logoff URL - This the url that the user will be redirected to when they logoff. If no URL is specified the user will be redirected to the login screen.
Listing Directory Path - This is the relative path to the listing directory from the current directory. This is usually ../listings/
Homepage Directory Path - This is the relative path to the homepage directory from the current directory. This is usually ../homepages/
Image Directory URL - This is the internet URL of the images directory.
Listings Directory URL - This is the internet URL of the listings directory.
Homepages Directory URL - This is the internet URL of the homepages directory.
Search Engine URL - This is the internet URL of the search engine. This URL usually ends in /exec/search.cgi
Server Time - This is the current time on your web server.
Adjust Hours - This field allows you to specify how many hours ahead or behind your local time zone is from your web servers time zone.
Adjust Minutes - This field allows you to specify how many minutes ahead or behind your local time zone is from your web servers time zone.
Local Time - This is your web servers time adjusted to your local time zone. After adjusting the hours or minutes you will need to save and reload the page to see the local time updated.
Your Version Number - This is the version number of your program.
Upgrade Availability - This tells you whether or not a program upgrade is available. It's recommended you upgrade to the latest versions as soon as they become available.
How to Upgrade - When an upgrade becomes available you can click this link for information on how to upgrade from your current version to the latest version.
